What Growing Up Is Like!
Hey ya'll! Have you ever wondered what growing up feels like?
Well, of course the process has many ups and downs but we dealt with them anyway but if ya'll still have problem with certain things in life, I hope my words help you.
1) Learning To Say N.O!
• To be honest, I've always had problems
with saying NO to people and I'm sure
you must have had too because of all the
other things in this world this one's the
hardest to do but I promise the first NO
you say will change your life. If you're
uncomfortable in doing something, just
refuse to do it. Don't do something just to
please someone.
2) Having A Small Friend Circle.
• Umm if you're someone like me who had a
friend everywhere you go then this might
be or might have been a bit difficult.
Having a small friends circle doesn't
mean you can't talk to people outside that
circle but it means to lessen the pressure
of being loved by everyone and proving
yourself to everyone. Now that I have the
tiniest friend circle, it feels better because
I don't need to please many people by
applying filters on myself.
3) Less Social Time And More Family Time.
• Now this is something my brother said
and I quoted it. Once you start growing.
up mentally, you'll understand that
spending time with your family is much
more important than with friends.
Celebrating your birthday with your
parents will become special than partying
with friends because you can have parties
with friends in future too but you might
not be able to celebrate your birthday
with your parents in future.
4) Understanding Parents.
• Yes, these people have aged and
sometimes they don't understand what
we say but at the end of the day they are
our parents. People who gave us life and a
good life which we should be thankful for.
They might crack stupid and lame dad
jokes just to see a smile on our face so
why not laugh for the sake of their smile?
Knowing the fact that they might not be
with us always, let us give them some
beautiful memories so that all of us can
cherish them forever.
5) Don't Hesitate In Liking Something.
• If something brings a smile on your face
then you don't need to hesitate in liking it,
just because people say it's boring or
lame.Well, I'm someone who is very much
into K-pop and I'm always being made fun
of for it whenever I go but that doesn't
mean I will stop listening to it because
people are mocking me. It is what it is
and you don't need to give a second
thought about it. I really enjoy watching
funny videos of BTS all day and it makes
me happy so why to hesitate if you like
something and it's even better if it makes
you laugh.
6) Acceptance Is The Key To A Positive.
Living.
• Start accepting people as they are. If
there's something you like and the other
person hates it, it's okay man, chill.
Remember, everything in this world has
lovers as well as haters. So you don't
need to convince them or make them like
what you do. People can't behave like you
want them to so either ignore or accept
them for who they are. Also if you are in a
relationship, doesn't matter if it's
friendship or a romantic relationship
instead of telling the other person to
change, try bringing changes in yourself
too so you could balance it. I'm not telling
you to sacrifice yourself for the other
person. NO! One should never do that but
try accepting their flaws or bring small
changes in yourself.
7) And Most Importantly!
• LOVE YOURSELF. ACCEPT YOUR FLAWS.
IT'S OKAY TO BE WEIRD. IT'S OKAY TO BE
A LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, PANSEXUAL
OR TRANSGENDER. IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE
PERFECT. IT'S OKAY TO NOT GET HIGH
SCORES. IT OKAY TO LOSE SOMETIMES.
IT'S OKAY TO GET REJECTED. IT'S OKAY
TO FAIL SOMETIMES. AND YES, YOUR
SMILE IS BEAUTIFUL. YOUR LAUGH IS
PRETTY. IT'S OKAY TO HAVE FLAWS.
AND YOU ARE AWESOME!
BUT DON'T EVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF.
